The 150 Voices Free Virtual Program

In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, The HopeWorks Connection is offering Free Virtual Programming to Canadian youth ages 7-18 (grades 2-12).

Recognizing the transformative power that the performing arts and academic success can have on young people, (The 150 Voices Free Virtual Program) engages Canadian youth to collectively build their knowledge and skills, learning from African-Canadian arts professionals in a holistic, educational, fun-filled virtual group environment.

COVID-19 ADAPTATION

Announcing FREE HopeWorks Program for children & youth 7 - 18 years.

For the past 20 years, The HopeWorks Connection, Inc., (HWC) has served and empowered young people through the performing arts, holistic development and education.

A pandemic was certainly never on our radar, and with the devastation caused by COVID-19, came a lot of changes to the ways we serve our members, audiences, and community. In order to keep up and running, we had to quickly adapt our programming. It was essential to ensure the children and youth weren’t left isolated by the new realities of social distancing and we never missed a beat going online.

HWC embraced the opportunity to be a beacon of hope and leaders in our community. To spread joy, keep our members and fans engaged and uplifted HWC’s board and staff adapted our programs in response to the global pandemic.

Now, HWC is offering the 150 Voices Free Virtual Program to Canadian young people ages 7 - 18 years (grades 2 - 12). We know how much our in-person programs positively impact the lives of youth across the Greater Toronto Area and Montreal so despite the challenges presented by social-distancing, we are excited about this new opportunity to connect with them across the country.

The 150 Voices Free Virtual Program engages children and youth as they collectively build their performing arts knowledge and skills, learning from African-Canadian arts professionals in a holistic, educational and fun-filled virtual group environment.

This ground-breaking program offers each participant the chance to grow artistically, academically, and socially so that despite what’s going on around them, they are inspired to reach their full potential.

“The youth of HopeWorks have taught us that when they are empowered through holistic, cultural, and creative programs they are freed up to offer their God-given gifts to the world. That’s when hope breaks through and gets to work in them, overcoming negativity and giving them real opportunities to shine!”
